On Friday, Apple started sending out invites to journalists, requesting to have them grace its event on 27 March 2018.

The event, surprisingly, will not take place at its shiny new campus, but at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois. Apple wrote that it will zoom in on “creative new ideas for teachers and students.”

In typical Apple fashion, the e-invite did not reveal much, and depicted the Apple logo in a single continuous brush stroke. The print below it read, “Let’s take a field trip.”

Seeing that Apple will be focusing on education during the event, it’s more plausible for its March lineup to include new laptops and iPads, should it launch products on that day.

Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted this month that the company might unveil a new MacBook Air with a “lower price tag,” which could boost MacBook sales by 10 to 15 percent.

Another rumor suggested that Apple will launch two new iPad models with ‘Face ID’ capabilities in March. Considering that it believes iPad Pros can potentially render computers extinct (remember the controversial “what’s a computer” ad?), the showcasing of new laptops in a school is likely.
