How much should I expect to pay a designer to “codesign” a site? : web_design

I’m a fullstack dev, but I’ve done design work for sites that I have developed. I’ve been building a bigger project for my startup that is going to need a better designer than myself. I already have low to medium fidelity mockups done of 4 pages and 1 component that I did myself in Adobe XD.

I was wondering what prices would be like for design help with 4 pages and 1 component. This help could be anything from helping me design what I already have to redesigning pages based on the layouts I have put forth.

All I would need is the XD or even PSD files done. I would prefer XD files since the workflow is way faster than Photoshop, hopefully making it cheaper as well. I can do the conversion to HTML and CSS. I’d want to give priority to finding a Canadian designer, but also would hire an American as well.

The help I’ll need is mostly with icon/font selection, make a banner, maybe layout adjustments (negative spacing, etc), and colours.

I was thinking about $50 to $100 CAD an hour. It takes me roughly 2 to 3 hours per web page to design in XD after I have the wireframes, and even faster after that once I have reusable assets like navs/footers and a “theme” I want to go with (I mean like material, minimalism, flat, etc, and not a premade theme).

So would roughly 10 hours be an underestimate? At $500 to $1000 for a professional level designer?
