Lacoste Replaces Its Iconic Alligator Logo To Shed Light On Endangered Species

For the first time, clothing brand Lacoste drops its iconic alligator logo to spotlight 10 of the most endangered species on the planet.

In partnership with International Union for Conservation of Nature, Lacoste has swapped its green alligator for Sumatran tigers, porpoises, rhinos and gibbons, to name a few.

The quantity of polos from this collection that are up for sale corresponds directly to the surviving population count of each species left in the wild. For instance, only 350 tiger polos will be manufactured since there are only 350 surviving Sumatran tigers on the planet.

The collection is available for sale on Lacoste France’s website. This campaign signifies the start of a three-year partnership between Lacoste and the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Sales proceeds from the collection will be donated to the organizations protecting these endangered species.
