When spring makes its arrival, you’ll want to be in Onitsuka Tiger’s new sneakers to kick winter’s gloom out the door.

The Japanese footwear brand has announced a delightful ‘Sakura x Sakura’ colorway for a duo of silhouettes that will have you admiring cherry blossom viewing season all year round.

Here, Onitsuka Tiger’s iconic leather ‘MEXICO 66’ and ‘TIGER ALLY’ are dyed all-pink using cherry blossoms.

Japanese studio Maito Design Works, the shoemaker’s partner for this series, boils sakura flowers and extracts their pigments to give the sneakers their soft, beautiful blush.

For the finishing touch, the pretty pink flowerbeds rest atop off-white outer soles.

These natural beauties will start retailing in Onitsuka Tiger stores across Japan, as well as online, on 22 March 2018 at ¥19,000 (US$180) a pair.
